The Soul of Europe is militant by nature!

The European story is a polyphonic and tumultuous song, rooted in the history of each member country, from the frozen lakes of the Far North to the warm shores of the Mediterranean, and that is why it is still being built and written...

But the global Covid pandemic and then the war in Ukraine have given a new European impetus, which the Soul of Europe intends to support with contributions in the fields of culture and the environment,  because the former brings peoples, and the second helps to preserve the future of our children.

For nearly a century, humanity has refused to listen to the alarm cries of scientists and explorers, and today, the massive extinction of biodiversity and the threats to the environment are visible to us in all their dramatic scale and make us aware of our own vulnerability.

In order to adapt to these profound changes that have only just begun, we are convinced that we must adopt as soon as possible a new paradigm that will restore the true value of nature, biodiversity and the environment.

And to do this, we must act together to make our actions count, and this common narrative of the European peoples of which we dream, by highlighting what brings us together, by sharing our histories, our cultures, our ideas and our dreams, can enable us to move forward more quickly, more powerfully.

We repeat, the Soul of Europe is profoundly militant: its objective is to build a common feeling of belonging and solidarity, far from nationalism, far from egoisms and political calculations, so that Europe becomes indivisible, united and resilient.

Because with the climate crisis and the collapse of biodiversity, the very survival of humanity today is threatened...

It is together, and driven by a common desire, that we can change our way of living on our planet so that our children can flourish in their turn. They count on us, how could we dare to refuse them this minimum service, this spark of hope so important and yet so fragile?

How can we destroy their future and continue to look at them straight in the eyes, smiling, without acting?

This commitment is mainly developed in the field of culture and environment:

  • To help the citizens of the European Union to become aware that Europe is their natural space, much larger and richer than the national territories.

  • To be a tool of reflection for the institutions and local authorities and to help them to spread the European spirit on the territories of the member countries, while preserving and developing the heritage of the Treaties of Rome.

  • To anchor Europe in our daily life and in our imagination, by sharing and disseminating the cultures, traditions and artistic creations of the different peoples of the member countries, in particular by following the rhythm of the rotating presidencies of the Council of the European Union: organization of events, concerts, symposiums, exhibitions in different sites of the Union.

  • To raise citizens' awareness of our common history and the mosaic of the European soul by showing the great diversity of the regions and soils: how we react in the different member countries to major societal, economic, cultural and environmental issues?

  • To accompany the ecological transition through education from the youngest age based on good practices in key areas as diverse as food, consumption, travel, digital, etc. by forging links between schools in different member countries, to disseminate ideas and actions.
